James B. Biden

James (“Jim”) Biden has over 35 years of experience dealing with principals in business, political, legal and financial circles across the nation and internationally. At 22, he successfully enlisted the support of national unions, political leaders and financiers across the country for his then 29-year old brother’s bid for a U.S. Senate seat for Delaware. Following this campaign, Jim obtained his securities, insurance and real estate licenses and began consulting with national business leaders.

Today Jim brings his unique combination of experience to the BBS Benefit Solutions team. Jim’s background in business, insurance, union politics and marketing enable him to understand the needs and perspectives of management and labor and to effectively negotiate and implement voluntary benefit packages that work on every level.

Jim has been active in the National Association of State Treasurers, was a founding member of the Steering Committee for the Native American/Corporate America Business Conference and served as a featured panelist of the first African Leaders Roundtable sponsored by the African Presidential Archives and Research Center at Boston University (APARC).

About Sara Jones Biden

Sara Jones Biden
Principal

Sara obtained her law degree from Duke University School of Law specializing in defense litigation for a number of years prior to becoming General Counsel of the U.S. Joint Committee on Printing.

Following her years of government service, Sara spent several years representing lead plaintiffs in major class action litigation. Sara brings her broad-based legal background along with her years of government service to BBS and assists in compliance with federal, state and local governmental requirements.

About Michael C. Stepnowski

Michael C. Stepnowski
Principal

Michael began his career selling payroll and human capital management solutions to employers. He then joined Employee Family Protection, Inc. (“EFP”), with which BBS is affiliated. Initially working as a benefit counselor and case manager, Michael saw firsthand the need for employee education in the worksite. In 1998, his focus shifted to developing strategic relationships with carriers, brokers, employers, and labor organizations.

Over the last 20 years, Michael has brought unique ideas centered on design, distribution, and communication of worksite-offered benefits. Michael and EFP are now the dedicated enrollment partner for BBS and the Bidens in all worksite benefit education and enrollment campaigns.

A ten-year member of The Million Dollar Round Table, Michael graduated from Bryant University with a degree in Business Administration. He currently lives in Glastonbury, CT with his wife, Roxanne, and their four daughters.
